There’s a difference between relief and rest. That’s why you can come back from a vacation and still feel like you need more rest!
Relief is temporary. A break or moment to breathe before the pressures of work, school, or life return. Unhealthy relief might look like a distraction from the hurried life, but you return just as tired as before. We need something more than relief.
God says, “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” Jeremiah 6:16. God is way more interested in leading you to a life of thriving than just surviving. This kind of life looks like resting, trusting, and surrendering to the way of Jesus.
You can be busy and still close to Jesus. But don’t expect rest if you live endlessly hurried and are too busy for Jesus. Here’s some good news: God offers what your soul needs: rest. Not just relief from daily pressure. If you want to slow down with God today, pray with us, now.
