What pressures are in your life? Some might be quiet, but they remind you that there’s always something to do better. So you try harder to be better or fix what’s wrong. And if we’re not careful, that pressure influences how we relate to God.
We think we need to earn His approval or prove something to Him. Okay, maybe you don’t think that… but does your life with Jesus look like it?
The prophet Jeremiah tells us this about Jesus. “This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior.” Jeremiah 23:6.
Your standing before God isn’t based on how well you perform. Righteousness is given to you from your righteous Savior, Jesus. Righteousness is who He is. You can live freely in His righteousness; no longer striving for acceptance or perfection.
