Finish this sentence today: I hope _________.
I hope things get better. I hope they call. I hope dinner tastes good. I hope I get that grade. I hope the diagnosis changes. I hope I’m enough. Hope can feel like a throwaway word. How is it that we can hope for both the smallest and biggest things in life?
Hope can be more than wishful thinking. The Bible says that we can put our hope in the name of Jesus. He’s so much better than crossing your fingers and expecting everything to work out. In a relationship with Jesus, your hope has a name: Jesus. He’s alive and present with you today.
