Gateway Media Group | St. Louis, MO | Full-Time (40 hrs/week), Onsite
Reports to: Digital Content Director
Gateway Media Group is a multi-brand ministry and the home of JOY FM, BOOST Radio, WorshipOne, and The Joy Store. Desiring obedience above all, we’re committed to using media to encourage, unite, and share the love of Jesus with our community and beyond.
Job Summary
The Digital Content Producer is a compelling visual storyteller who brings the joy, peace, and worship experience of JOY FM, BOOST Radio, and WorshipOne to life on screen, whether that’s a listener story, a hype reel, or an acoustic worship session. At its heart, this role exists to help document the incredible things God is doing.
This person owns the full video pipeline, from managing and maintaining video sets and equipment, to executing shoots and listener interviews, to editing and building motion graphics.
This role serves all four brands.
Essential Functions
Studio & Equipment Management
- Manage and maintain video sets across all three station studios
- Own the technical upkeep of in-studio cameras and digital content equipment
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on cameras, lighting, audio, and related production equipment
- Maintain equipment inventory and production schedules
- Maintain an organized footage and project-file archive (naming conventions, storage structure, retrieval) so past work can be found and reused
- Flag equipment or upgrade needs for budget consideration
Production
- Set up and execute video shoots, both in-studio and on location
- Conduct listener interviews during video shoot days, shaping questions to draw out authentic, compelling stories
- Document the incredible things God is doing in our city – capturing the stories, events, etc
- Capture B-roll at station events for use in donor communications and partner materials
- Handle assignments requiring custom lighting, multiple locations, and specialized audio setups
- Build and coordinate shooting schedules with on-air talent/brand personalities
- Coach on-air talent on camera technique and delivery to get the best performance on set
- Occasionally capture and lightly edit podcast/audio content as needed
Post-Production
- Ingest, organize, and edit footage into finished deliverables
- Build motion graphics and animation elements using Adobe After Effects
- Produce, for each listener story: a long-form cut for YouTube and a short-form cut for radio/social use
- Produce future recurring custom YouTube shows.
- Review basic performance metrics (views, watch time, engagement) on published videos to inform future shoots and edits
Cross-Platform Delivery
- Format and optimize finished video assets for YouTube, email, the mobile app, and the website
- Make direct content updates within station CMS platforms as needed (e.g., updating a rotating video background on a station website)
- Collaborate with the Social Media team to create marketing content
- Optimize video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails for on-platform SEO and discoverability
Non-Essential Functions
Position Qualifications

- Dependable, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects across four distinct brands
- Flexible team player with strong attention to detail
- Empathetic – genuinely moved by the stories, moments, and experiences this role puts on screen, with the emotional sensitivity to carry that feeling into every video
Necessary Skills and Abilities
- Strong visual storytelling instincts – able to identify and shape a compelling narrative, not just capture footage
- Comfortable conducting interviews with non-professional, on-camera subjects (listeners) in a way that puts them at ease
- Strong proficiency across the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Working knowledge of camera, lighting, and audio equipment, including basic troubleshooting
- Experience with at least one CMS platform such as WordPress to make content-level updates

- Shares a personal commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of Gateway Media Group’s stations
Working Conditions
- Travel: Occasional, for event coverage and on-location shoots
- Nights/Weekends: Occasional, based on event and shoot schedules
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transport video/camera equipment; frequent standing, walking, and equipment setup during shoots
