You probably know what it feels like to try hard and still feel stuck. Trying harder to be patient. Trying harder to stop worrying. Trying harder to forgive. It’s like our first instinct is to try as hard as we can when we want to change something.
And effort does matter. But hard work alone cannot produce the life God wants for you in you. Galatians 5:16 says, “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”
Walk. Keep in step with the Spirit. This is a slower pace than most of us want. Walking with the Spirit of God means learning to pay attention to His presence, His conviction, HIs timing, His peace, and His strength in the middle of ordinary life.
Here’s your one thought: spiritual growth comes from walking with the Spirit of God, not self-improvement by force.
