Have you ever asked, “What does God want from me?” or “What does God want me to do?” It’s easy to load that question with tons of pressure. You can imagine God requiring a lot of you and then worry about what might happen if you miss it or mess things up. You don’t have to wonder what He wants you to do, and you might be surprised how simple it is.
“What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8. Let’s slow down and sit with each word. Maybe say it quietly, one at a time. Justice. Mercy. Humility.
Which one is God nudging you toward today? Maybe it’s speaking up for someone treated unfairly. Maybe it’s extending mercy to someone who doesn’t deserve it. Maybe it’s extending mercy to that person…again. Or maybe it’s simply walking a little bit smaller today, remembering that God is God and you are not. Here’s your one thought: Obeying God looks like justice, mercy, and humility.
